LD 30 House Candidate Forum!

I just got this important note from Brice McCoy, President of the UA College Republicans:

The UA CRs will be hosting a friendly candidate forum for the LD 30 House candidates on
Apr 12 begining at 9:30 a.m. in the Kiva Room of the UA Student Union. Doors will open at 9:00 a.m.

The CRs are looking for a big turnout, so they are welcoming the Pima YRs to attend along with our friends and families. The forum moderators will be accepting questions from the audience
before the forum begins.

So, please mark this date down on your calenders and come prepared with insightful questions for the candidates.

Letter from the Chair

The following is a copy of the first email sent out to the Pima County YR list serve from newly elected club chair Tyler Mott:
-------------------------------------------------------
Greetings all.
My name is Tyler Mott, and I was recently elected Chairman of the Pima County Young Republicans.
Each of you is on our list serve, and I want to invite you to be as active in our club as possible during this very important election year. To be as effective as possible, we have a variety of club positions available which we need help filling.
As Pima County Young Republicans, our main focus will be helping elect to Senator John McCain (the presumptive Republican Party Nominee) to be our next President. By all indications, this will be a tough election year, and Senator McCain needs all of our help! Senator McCain will help bring fiscal responsibility back to Washington, DC; he will not surrender in our fight against global terrorism; he will appoint judges to the federal bench who will strictly interpret the Constitution, and John McCain will bring one of Arizona's very own to the White House. This is an exciting time for us.
As a club, the mission of the Pima County YRs doesn't end with making sure that Senator McCain is elected. We will also be working hard to elect many other Republicans at the local and state levels. We have some very exciting and dynamic candidates, and they need your help. We look forward to having many of these candidates speak at our monthly meetings.
One of the key goals of the Pima County Young Republicans in this election year is to grow our membership. I invite you to come out to our meetings and events and to invite your Republican friends and family between the ages of 18 and 39 to come with you.
In the future, I will be sending emails to you regarding important events and dates. We will be working hard with the campaigns, with the Pima County Republican Party, with the Arizona Republican Party, and with the College Republicans to coordinate our efforts to do our part to help advance the Republican Party platform.
As a bonus forum for all of you, I have set up a Pima County Young Republican blog where you can all voice your ideas and share important information about candidates that you support. This is the link:

If you need anything or have any questions, comments, or advice, please let me know.
Thanks.
-Tyler

Welcome to our blog!

Well, I'd just like to welcome you all to the new blog for the Pima County Young Republicans. We will use this blog to help get out information on upcoming events and to discuss current events. If you have anything that you'd like to add, please feel free.

On this first post, we can spend a little time poking fun of Hillary Clinton and how she has been sounding more like Al Gore these days with her embellishing the truth. I personally think that it's quite humorous that she is being compared to one of the politicians that she despises most and that Al Gore who despises Hillary just as much is having her compared to him.

Maybe they can both get together to find a way to re-invent the internet next time while under heavy enemy fire.
