Sacrifices Made by Members of our Club

There have been many sacrifices made by servicemen & women and their families across the country and throughout Arizona. For that we will be forever in their debt.

The following is a link to an article talking about the sacrifices made by Pima YR club member and former club Vice Chairman Rebecca Isaac Esposito and her family. Rebecca was just married to her husband in April, and Staff Sgt. Ed Esposito is now deployed with the with the Air Force in southwest Asia.

Staff Sgt. Esposito is a member of the 563rd Rescue Group. Most of the deploying airmen are members of the 55th Rescue Squadron, a subsidiary unit of the rescue group that specializes in aircraft maintenance and combat rescue operations.

Here's the link to the article in the Arizona Daily Star:

As a club, we thank Rebecca and Ed for the sacrifices that they have made and are making for to support our troops in harm's way.

Fallen Tucson Police Officer

Tucson lost one of its heroes Monday June 2,2008. Officer Erik Hite succumbed to injuries he sustained in a gunfight while in pursuit of a suspect that had already shot a Sheriff's Deputy and maliciously fired indiscriminately into occupied dwellings. Officer Hite served 21 years in the Air Force before joining the Tucson Police Department (TPD). Officer Hite is survived by his wife, a one year-old daughter, and a son who is serving in the military.

The Tucson Police Officers Association (TPOA) has set up a fund for Officer Hite to go directly to his family - Wells Fargo Bank, account #2475164071, named TPOA/Officer Erik Hite Benefit Fund. Please let everyone know, thanks.
